Overview
There are several options for Oxford Harry Potter tours- indeed, we created the original Hogwarts tours here which have since been much copied and we have led tens of thousands of Muggles of all ages. However, this experience includes entry to all three of the film sites on an extended tour which is aimed at the most fanatical of you Muggles who want to squeeze into one day to make the most of your day trip to Oxford! In the morning, we will visit inside New college and stop by the Turf Tavern which is said to have inspired the Three Broomsticks and is where the actors used to relax after filming. Then you have some limited free time to get a quick lunch stop. In the afternoon, you will see inside the Divinity school at the Bodleian library and then finish with self guided entry to Christ church. Note that entry to Duke Humfreys library at the Bodleian is not included and the only reason why is because its entry tickets usually sell out, 2 weeks ahead but we can advise you on it.

- Guided entry lasting 45 minutes plus inside New college worth £12 per person
- This tour goes into great detail about the making of the films and about the actors plus JK Rowling
- This tour visits three film sites with guided intro to Oxford university heritage too
- Self guided audio guide one hour pre booked entry to Christ church worth up to £27 person
- Entry inside Divinity school at the Bodleian library but not it is only included, as & when open
- Please note under 'Exclusions' below dates of graduation, university open days, Xmas holidays!
Not included
- This tour does NOT visit inside Duke Humfreys Bodleian medieval library
- Divinity school only is closed on all these following dates in 2026 below...
- September 21+ 22+ 23+ 24+ 25 + 26, October 17 + 18 + 30 +31, November 6 + 7 +13 + 14 of 2026
- Note dates below, when Christ church Dining Hall is viewing only from the door:
- View hall from the hall entrance door only on Oct 2 2026
- Christ church Hall only is closed on September 20 & Oct 4, 8, 9 of 2026. You may cancel for refund.
- Requests for a tour in foreign language, we require at least 2 days notice!
- New college partial closures below- note any dates cloister film site may be closed:
- New college cloister only closed from 12 to 3pm only on Nov 7 + Nov 14 of 2026. We visit in morning
- New college cloister only closed on these dates and times in 2027 but we can still enter beforehand:
- New college cloister closed from 12 to 3 on Feb 26, from 11 to 3 on July 17 + July 31 of 2027
- New college cloister only closed from 11 to 3 on Nov 6 + Nov 13 of 2027
- New college cloister only closed from 12 to 3 on Feb 26 of 2028
- October 6 & 8, Divinity school is closed only from 11am to 3pm only- you can visit outside this time
