Hadrian's Wall, Vindolanda and Bamburgh Castle Private Tour

Overview

Visit Hadrian's Wall, built in 122AD by the Romans as the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire to defend against the Picts to the north. Explore the Vindolanda Fort, built in 85AD and still being excavated to this day! It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most important Roman sites in the world. You will be amazed by the unique collection of Roman artifacts on display at the museum. Visit Bamburgh Castle, the real Last Kingdom of Bebbanburg! There is currently an exhibiton in the Castle of 'Last Kingdom' props and costumes. Alternatively, you can customise the tour by replacing Bamburgh with Alnwick Castle - used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter hit TV series. Finally, on our way back to Edinburgh, feed the seals at the fishing town of Eyemouth in North Berwick (availability permitting).
