Experience Camden, an area of counter culture, where you can embrace the alternative side of London. Initially being built around canals in the beginning of 19th Century and being a home to many involved in the building of the railway networks, Camden was Catapulted into 1960s counter-culture consciousness by Pink Floyd's concert at the Roundhouse. Camden Town took over from Soho as London's bohemian and has evolved into a bohemian, artistic and musical centre of culture since 1980’s. Camden is known for its world-famous independent markets Street Art scene, and of course, Amy Winehouse! Highlights: Street Art Electric Ballroom (led Zeppelin) Arlington House (George Orwell) The Roundhouse (Pink Floyd) Stables Markets (The Clash/Pulp/The Libertines) Hawley Arms (Amy Winehouse) Camden Markets Dingwalls (The Sex Pistols) Regents Canal It's a walking tour, but there's not a lot of distance involved.
