As a local Edinburgh lad and after working as a driver guide leading tours all over Scotland for almost 20 years, it has always confused me why more visitors don't head east of Edinburgh. Guess the big marketing departments just stick with selling the highlands and Saint Andrews. They are beautiful and worth a visit for sure, but make no mistake, much closer to Edinburgh, there be Gold!! This is a highly flexible tour with best fit provided for what most interests you and the group, walking, beaches, castles, food, wildlife and a fun day out without huge distances. You can have it all!!
